Marie-Claire Saindon – When A Thought Of War

Canadian Baha’i Marie-Claire Saindon has composed a choral piece based on the words of Abdu’l-Baha, “When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love.”

The song was performed and produced by the Swedish group VoNo – Voces Nordicae. The piece is essentially wordless but it powerfully depicts the battle to root out thoughts of war and hatred from one’s mind.

We’ve featured Marie-Claire previously on Baha’i Blog. You can read that article here: The Imaginary Garden: A Choral Piece Inspired by a Poem by Mavash Sabet of the Yaran

You can listen to more of Marie-Claire’s compositions here on Soundcloud.

Last but not least, you can also listen to these words put to music with this Baha’i Blog Studio Session: “Thought of Love” by Nica, Sahar & Delara
