Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
The Universal House of Justice has just addressed the Baha’is of the world with the latest Ridvan message.
Each year on the first day of Ridvan, the Universal House of Justice addresses a letter to the worldwide Baha’i community, known as the Ridvan message. These letters touch on many subjects, including the growth and vibrancy of the Baha’i community, its efforts to contribute to the life of society, and the progress of specific projects and plans.
The 2016 Ridvan message can be viewed and downloaded from the official site of the Universal House of Justice here: 2016 Ridvan Message
You can also listen to and download Baha’i Blog’s audio recording of the Ridvan Message being read here on our SoundCloud page: Audio Recording of Ridvan Message 2016
