Baha’is champion rationality and science as essential for human progress. The harmony of science and religion is one of the fundamental principles of the Baha’i Faith, which teaches that truth is one and that religion, without science, soon degenerates into superstition and fanaticism, while science without religion becomes merely the instrument of crude materialism.
Thanks to the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Santa Monica, California, we’re happy to share with everyone a great talk given by Dr. Steven Phelps called “Science, Religion and the Coming Spiritual Revolution”.
This talk was given by Dr. Steven Phelps at the Sunday Gathering at the Santa Monica Bahai Center, November 11, 2013.
Dr. Steven Phelps is an American Baha’i physicist, philosopher and translator who currently lives Oregon, USA.
You can also listen to and download other Baha’i talks and music on Baha’i Blog’s Soundcloud page here.
We’d really like to thank Dr. Steven Phelps for the wonderful talk and the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Santa Monica for organising and recording the talk, and for giving us permission to publish it.
Happy listening!
