“Be the Light” is a musical collaboration created by Ali Youssefi that reflects on the importance of growing our own inner light, our virtues, shedding that light into the world, and helping others do the same.
Featuring 255 friends from 44 countries and territories around the world and many musicians, such as rapper Karim Rushdy, this song was also created in partnership with two inspiring organizations focused on fostering virtues education: The Virtues Project and Virtues Matter.
You can find out more about Ali and his music from his website: www.music.aliyoussefi.com
We also interviewed Ali about his collaborating musical pieced called “Waves”. You can read that interview here on Baha’i Blog: WAVES – A New Global Musical Collaboration by Ali Youssefi
Ali was also critical in helping us film Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions in Belgrade, Serbia (where he was living at the time), and from these sessions you can watch him singing “Jedinstvo (Unity)” in Serbian, and “Oh Mi Siervo (O My Servant)” in Spanish.
