The Universe Within: Liberation from the Prison of Self

June 8, 2021, in Videos > Arts, by

This is the pilot episode of “The Universe Within” series, an initiative by that same name. This initiative shares quotations from the Baha’i Writings with artists around the world and the end result is a multi-media exploration of an elevated idea. This pilot episode is centred on the theme of liberation from the prison of self and features art by Akia Pacheco, Areúz, Setareh Zargarpour, Habib Zargarpour, Nica Sabet, Amelia Rasekhy, Paulo Lakan, Eemanna Rivers, Juliet Rasekhy and Joshua Hominick. Also featured in the film are Justin Baldoni and Parisa Fitz-Henley.

The quotations sourced from the Bahaʼi Writings for this episode include: “Free thyself from the fetters of this world, and loose thy soul from the prison of self.”

“When one is released from the prison of self, that is indeed release, for that is the greater prison.”

“Strive to attain the paradise of His presence and endeavor to inhale the fragrance of the incorruptible Flower. Whoso followeth this counsel will break his chains asunder.”
