Baha’i beliefs address essential spiritual themes for humanity’s collective and individual advancement. Learn more about these and more.
Kate Vestlie is an artist, a mother and a Baha’i based in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. She creates her pieces of artwork using layers of material, assembled in such a way as to create a simulated reality, where art comes to life. Often turning to her belief in the Baha’i Faith for inspiration, she finds that the more challenging parts of her art are what make it the most rewarding.
In this short film, Kate shares some of the thoughts and inspiration behind her art.

It’s really nice Kate, you have to think about it a lot in the art as Baha’i. Always turning to God, art becomes joy. Art is very important to the religion Baha’i. I have always taken great pains to win the heart of humanity with art. This often requires prayer. All the best, dear Kate. Rita
