New Talks by Tom Price: Recreating Ourselves in the Image of the Master

October 3, 2012, in Articles > Audio, by

Baha’i music composer Tom Price recently delivered six great new talks at the 2012 Tennessee Baha’i School, called “Recreating Ourselves in the Image of the Master”.

For those of you who have yet to hear one of Tom’s talks, you’re in for a treat! Last year we posted Tom Price’s talks on The Five Year Plan and it’s still one of our most popular posts ever!

In these wonderful talks Tom Price shares six of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s attributes and looks at how we can learn from them and adopt them into our own lives.

‘Abdu’l-Bahá, (also referred to as the Master) was Bahá’u’lláh’s eldest son and appointed successor, and He is considered the perfect example of how to live according to the Bahá’í teachings. This year also marks the 100th anniversary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s visit to North America, and Bahá’í communities across the US and Canada have been celebrating His visit.

You can listen to these talks by either streaming them or by downloading them – and best of all, it’s completely free!

We hope you enjoy these talks as much as we do, and please let us know what you think in the comments section and feel free to share this post with your friends.

Happy Listening, and a BIG THANK YOU to Tom Price for this wonderful service!

I already had the chance to listen to all six of them. In one word: AMAZING. In two words: Highly recommended. In three words: Listen to it. In four words: Listen to it now. You get the point.

Great to have these! Is there any word on the availability of the rest of Mr. Prices’s 5 Year Plan talks?

Hi Gavin, thanks for your support! Unfortunately Tom hasn’t been able to provide the rest of the 5 Year Plan talks but he’s still hoping to do so. He has presented them live but unfortunately they were not recorded properly and therefore it’s a metter of finding an opportunity to prent them again… we’re all eagerly waiting and hope he can do them soon, and will definitely be posting them and letting everyone know about them when this happens. Thanks again for your support Gavin and you’re going to love these talks!

I’ve enjoyed Tom’s talks since I heard the first ones which came out of the Tennessee Bahá’í School 2 or 3 years ago. In fact, I’ve enjoyed Tom Price since as far back as the 1970s when I first arrived in Australia from Canada, and Tom was into producing LPs and going on tours with his music group known as: 1844.

Many people in the last 40 years have written to me thinking I’m Tom Price. Sadly, or not-so-sadly, I’m Ron Price which is a “two letter difference” from Tom’s name. There are now more than 4000 people with my name in cyberspace. I’m still working at establishing my own identity which people can connect with, in part, at my website: http://www.ronpriceepoch.com/ …………..Goodonyer, Tom…..you have a winning speaking style for the 21st century.-Ron Price, Tasmania

Tom has made the part ‘be as I am’ achievable by breaking it down into workshop style nuts and bolts of spiritual growth!

Looking forward to the next 6 talks.

Thank you Tom, your inspiring talks are treasures of inestimable value.

I’ve listened to all six talks by Tom and I highly recommend them to everyone!
Of all the speakers I have heard for the last 45 years I would say Tom delivers the most concise and spiritually appropriate to the needs of us all at this time in our spiritual growth.
Thank you Tom

[…] Baha’i Blog has posted some of Tom Price’s other talks such as The Five Year Plan (which is still one of our most popular posts), and more recently Recreating Ourselves in the Image of the Master. […]

I totally agree with everyone’s reviews of Tom’s talks. They are brilliant. We have just had the great bounty of having Tom Price travel down and be the guest speaker at both our North Island and South Island Summer Schools, here in New Zealand. He spoke for four mornings at the North Island Summer School (Dec 27-31, 2012) on Spiritual Transformation, of the individual, institutions and of the community. His talks were all professionally recorded onto the Summer School audio visual DVD by Baha’i on Air up in Auckland. I am told they are still for sale through the New Zealand BDS. [email protected] Tom also took two equally wonderful workshops Our community is still buzzing about what he had to say! Warmest regards, Cyndy

Thanks Cyndy! Just a heads-up that Baha’i Blog also organised a talk by Tom Price at the Sydney Baha’i Centre after he attended the two Summer Schools in New Zealand. You can find this talk available for download here: http://bahaiblog.net/2013/01/30/following-the-example-of-abdul-baha-a-talk-by-tom-price/
