Mörker omsluter varje land (Darkness Hath Encompassed Every Land) – European Baha’i Choral Festival 2019

February 20, 2020, in Music > Choir, by

“Mörker omsluter varje land” is the second song from the European Baha’i Choral Festival that was held from May 29 – June 2, 2019 at the Baha’i House of Worship in Langenhain, Germany. This Swedish song was composed by Gunnel Nazeraian and arranged and conducted by Ameli Dziemba. It is based on a prayer revealed by Baha’u’llah.

Lyrics & Quote

Baha’u’llah

ENGLISH

Darkness hath encompassed every land, O my God, and caused most of Thy servants to tremble. I beseech Thee, by Thy Most Great Name, to raise in every city a new creation that shall turn towards Thee, and shall remember Thee amidst Thy servants, and shall unfurl by virtue of their utterances and wisdom the ensigns of Thy victory, and shall detach themselves from all created things. Potent art Thou to do Thy pleasure. No God is there but Thee, the Most Powerful, He Whose help is implored by all men.
