Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
Reza Mostmand is an artist living in Canada, who brings to life the spirit of Persian calligraphy, transcending cultural traditions and expectations relating to the interplay of words and images on canvas. Many of Reza’s pieces are inspired by the holy texts of the Baha’i Faith, exploring the mysteries of spiritual and material realms of existence. In this short film Reza shares some of his thoughts and inspiration behind his art.
