“O Thou Compassionate Lord” by the Virtual Choir of the Baha’i House of Worship for North America

June 27, 2020, in Music > Choir, by

The 14th Annual Baha’i Choral Festival at the Baha’i House of Worship for North America was scheduled to take place on May 24th, 2020. Due to COVID-19 and shelter-in-place orders, the festival was cancelled. The choir nevertheless virtually produced this song called “O Thou Compassionate Lord”.

This song is based on the following excerpt of a prayer:

“O Thou compassionate Lord, Thou Who art generous and able! We are servants of Thine sheltered beneath Thy providence. Cast Thy glance of favor upon us. Give light to our eyes, hearing to our ears, and understanding and love to our hearts.

– Abdu’l-Baha
