- Ayyam-i-Ha is a Baha’i festival that is joyously celebrated in countries and territories all over the world. It is a time of hospitality, generosity, and caring for the needy. This year Ayyam-i-Ha runs from February 26-29.
In this talk, produced by Bahaiteachings.org, Baha’i health care professional and author Deborah Walters shares about her patients who tell terribly unhappy stories and have enormous suffering. She asks them “What’s at the centre of your life? Where do you spend your time, your money, your love?” “Life is created for happiness”, Walters says. We need to put something eternal, something light-filled, at the centre of our lives and because our existence is fundamentally mystical in nature, there is light within us all.
We also shared Deborah’s talk from the 2016 Grand Canyon Baha’i Conference. The talk is called “How to Bridge Local to Global: Healing the Entire Being Through Local Symptoms”. And last but not least, we also interviewed her about her book about fasting called The Supreme Remedy.
